Purely cosmetic or routine maintenance work typically does not meet criteria. After completion of the project, reimbursement follows submission of documented expenses and, if applicable, a property inspection. Recipients should comply with project timelines and occupancy requirements, as there may be provisions to recover funds if improvements are removed or the property is vacated prematurely.
