Building Community Resilience Hubs in North Carolina

The state's diverse demographics also play a critical role in shaping its response to climate-related challenges. With a significant population of Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous residents, North Carolina must address the socio-economic disparities that persist in disaster response and recovery efforts. Historically, these communities have been underrepresented in local decision-making processes, which further complicates their ability to recover from crises and build resilience against future threats.
This funding initiative focuses on developing community resilience hubs across North Carolina to bolster disaster preparedness and climate adaptation efforts.
